The figures are based on random samples of all repositories registered and harvested in BASE, which have been collected irregularly since 2016 and quarterly since 2021. The retrieved metadata are examined for the occurrence of ORCID iDs. The hits found in various formats in terms of number, technical platform and repository type and country affiliation expanded. In addition to the number of documents, the rate of increase compared to the previous evaluation (in percent) and the number in relation to the population and the number of researchers can be selected. The reference data are taken from UN, UNESCO and NSF statistical data.
